Military Waterfowlers' Day - November 12, 2011

refugerat-logo-flagIn honor of our soldiers that have given so much, and as our small way of saying thanks, RefugeRat.com has co-founded a special waterfowling day to recognize the fine men and women of all branches of the military.

We have designated the first Saturday following Veterans' Day of each year as Military Waterfowlers' Day™.

We encourage all active duty, reserve, and retired military personnel that have an interest in duck or goose hunting to head to the field, water, or marsh on this day.

If you find yourself unable to participate due to a schedule conflict with your current duties, we encourage you to send your thoughts of support to your fellow warriors and hunters.

As a soldier, if you want to hunt on this day, and would appreciate the opportunity to hunt with another waterfowler, either with or without a military background, then drop us note.

Or if you are in the position to offer a soldier either a duck or goose hunt, then contact us too.

Military Waterfowlers' Day is also an ideal event to help spread the word about and support Operation Outdoors.     learn more....

RefugeRat.com hopes to see as many military waterfowlers in the field as possible, and looks forward to everyone having a great time.

See you there.     This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

MIlitary Waterfowlers day
As a Member of the military who has served overseas I just wanted say thanks for this great Idea. This is my first season waterfowling. I got started when some friends said try it you'll love it. So i went out early season and had a blast. I have never hunted with anyone the 5 times i have been and i think that is why I have not bagged any ducks yet, but to know that you here are supporting two great things, the military and waterfowl hunting makes me smile.

Thanks again

Dayton Ohio area
If anyone around the Dayton/Wright Patterson Air Force base would like to go on a hunt just let me know. I'm sure we can work something out.
