Watkins Duck Calls

Brian Watkins has been duck and goose hunting on the public waters of Chesapeake Bay for about 30 years which requires a great deal of effort and preparation on the part of the hunter. Virginia has an elaborate set of public goose and duck hunting laws which are complicated, but anybody that hunts public lands, refuges, or waters knows that though the amount of effort required to be successful can be great, it just makes the good days that much sweeter. Give Watkins Duck Calls a holler if you hunt public lands, waters, or refuges, and are looking for a new duck call.

Name the Rat

As for the contest, you may have seen an illustration of a new rat character floating around recently as we have been soliciting name ideas. This illustration is one of several new charming public land duck and goose hunting characters you will see associated with the company.

We have received some good input so far, but have decided to up the ante and turn this quest into a formal rat naming contest. Anything goes and we are looking for a solid rat name moving forward.

Contest Prizes

There are two prizes up for grabs. The first is a $25 gift certificate from Cabela's, and the winner will be drawn from the first 25 Refuge Rats that make a rat name suggestion. The second prize, and ultimate winner will receive a killer mallard call from Watkins Duck Calls. Your choice of acrylic or stabilized wood from either Brian Watkins' inventory, or custom built to your liking! Brian Watkins, owner of Watkins Duck Calls, is also throwing in a Watkins Duck Calls t-shirt for the lucky winner.
