North Dakota RefugeRats recently cracked the regular 2011 season this week. It's officially on brothers!
National RefugeRat Jonathan Schmechel hunted with fellow RefugeRat Blake Redd, and they had a nice mixed bag hunt. Providing great team support was Junior Rat, Jonathan Schmechel Jr, and their dogs Allie and Mudd, a labrador and chessie respectively, were on retrieving duty.
Jonathan took a spill, soaking his camera, and was resolved to the fact that his camera was most likely dead. But with a little tender loving care, he was able to revive his electronics, and retrieve some photos to share.
Jonathan is currently on the hot pursuit of birds, and we look forward to more reports as all of us Rats wait for our respective openers with anticipation.
